18mm (Approx.) Thick CAST IRON BASE PLATE with Mirror type Finish which ensures very smooth ironing, uniform heat distribution and retains heat for longer period. The base size is approx 4.7 Inches x 8.85 Inches.

Incorporates Powerful, Energy Efficient and Long Life CERAMIC Heating Element , Perfectly calibrated Thermostat with Silver contacts and Porcelain Rotor for safer operation and better temperature control.

Easy to operate TEMPERATURE CONTROL KNOB enables user to set the temperature according to the type of Fabric. The press will cut off automatically when desired temperature is attained and reheat on cooling, which is indicated by the indicator lamp.

Cotton Braided Main cord made of copper and with a length of 2 meters approx. which ensures ease of use.

Each unit undergoes various safety and performance tests before dispatching to ensure shock proof and safe performance. The user must ensure proper EARTHING in the power supply line where the iron is intended to be used.

When using press for first time, there might be some emission of slight Smoke from interior of press. It is only the action of heat on element coverings while in new condition, which will DISAPPEAR within 2 or 3 usages.

It is recommended for the user to first iron clothes requiring low temperature with the temperature control knob at lower temperatue setting according to fabric. And then rotate the knob to higher temperature later when the clothes requiring higher temperature are to be ironed.
The heating of press is indicated by the Indicator lamp provided in the handle of the press. The red light ON indicates press is heating and when it turns OFF, it means the press has attained the required temperature. It reheats automatically once the temperature drops the desired level.
Heating up time for this model with thick base is higher compared to other presses with thinner base plates. But the advantage is that the base heats up very uniformly and the ironing effect is good. And it retains heat for longer time.
